Bond:50 years in caricature

i was recently contacted by a fellow artist who is working with the awesome people over at mad artist publishing about contributing a piece to the Bond: 50 years in caricature tribute book. i of course jumped at the opportunity to have my work placed along side some of the worlds best caricature artists and i cant wait for the final product to be released in a few months. for my contribution to the book i had the privilege of painting Izabella Scorupco from the 007 flick, GoldenEye. be sure to check out the book and preorder now!

True Detective

quick sketch of Rust Chole in one of my favorite new shows, True Detective. just messing around, probably spent an hour on it, will definitely make a finished painting assuming i have the time. cant wait for the finale on sunday!

The Blind Pigs

i have to say that this is probably my most unique job to date. i was approached to do two paintings that were going to hang in a brand new restaurant out in las vegas called the blind pig. the whole thing is 1920's prohibition themed and the illustrations needed to fit that vibe. the pigs in the illustration were supposed to be bootlegging alcohol and having a blast doing it while also making a mess of things due to them being blind and all. you may be wondering what about this is so unique and its not so much the subject as the fact that both paintings needed to be HUGE with one over 14 feet in length. needless to say that provided a challenge. after many conversations with fellow artists, brainstorming with some awesome people over at 1027 design media and about 12 days drawing and painting, here is the final result. if you ever find yourself out in vegas be sure to drop in and check it out

New York Observer

im pleased to share my very first cover for the New York Observer. the story is all about how the new york times are possibly driving their publication in the wrong direction while their competition remains successful and new business models like buzzfeed and gawker threaten to destroy them completely. there were some small challenging parts but overall i had a blast painting this and cant wait to do another. I have to send a big shout out to fellow artist and friend Jason Seiler, without his help i literally could not have done this job. thanks a ton!. hopefully i will have some more work to share very very soon and be sure to check out the full story at
